Each item is crafted from precious and revered Nanmu wood. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties it was the chosen wood of the imperial families and used extensively in the construction of and decorative items for the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Each piece of Nanmu wood is studied carefully and identified for use in the creation of the object that best displays its unique beauty.
